Sun, moon and stars

On week 3 of ABCJLM’S curriculum, we learnt about God’s creation of the sun, moon and the stars (day 4).

We’ve borrowed a number of books relating to the sun, moon, stars and the solar system. Among the books, Hannah enjoyed reading “A Child’s Goodnight Book” by Margaret Wise Brown and “The Sun Bread” by Elisa Kleven best.

“The Sun Bread” book had a simple recipe to make sun bread. But I don’t own an oven, so I improvised by cutting shapes of the sun, moon and stars from bread.

Hannah didn’t quite fancy eating them though. She examined them, tore some apart, ate some bits. Guess she’s a food purist; prefers eating bread as it is – square with crusts and all.
